The Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) conducts the KAS (Kashmir Administrative Service) Combined Competitive Examination for appointment to J&K Civil Services. It is the state-level equivalent of UPSC and follows a similar three-stage pattern.
Exam Pattern
The JKPSC KAS exam has three stages: Preliminary Exam (Objective), Mains (Descriptive), and Viva-voce. The Preliminary has two papers โ General Studies (200 marks) and Mental Ability/Reasoning. Mains has six papers including Essay, General Studies I/II/III, and one Optional subject.
